This book has a lot of information that was not taught when I was in school.
Praise God for His Word and this country! A man cannot live without the word if he does he is not living but is dead!
If you are a lover of this president, this book fills out a little more of his character; who he was and how he came to be that way. His speeches are some of the greatest ever written. Reading this book helps show why he was such a great writer.
A nice, concise reference book of biblical quotes and allusions by our 16th President. A good resource for those who might benefit from a reminder that the culture of mid-nineteenth century US allowed considerable latitude in public referral to the Bible.
This book reveals the soul of a great president. More importantly it reveals the source of the man's soul which is the Bible, GOD'S word. Too bad the leader's of today believe their too smart to
learn from history.
A pleasant and quick read yet does not give much evidence of Lincolns use of the Bible . This topic could be far more useful by making good use of scriptural quotes in Lincoln's public speeches or writing. nonetheless an interesting quick read about lincoln's early life.
