I love all the early Crusie books. They got worse as she played to the current vogue in romance adding supernatural and green beret stuff. But the early humorous ones can’t be beat. This is one of my favorites, then there’s Faking It and Getting Rid of Bradley, and What the Lady Wants. I wish she’d stuck to humorous romance and left the green berets and supernatural out of it.

I needed something fun to read over the weekend and found this recommendation. Loved the witty banter. Just what a girl needs.
Another terrific book by Miss Crusie! Lots of romance and sex and fun and laughter and of course a HEA! Read this book. Read all of her books! They are so much fun!
She has a boring but "ok" career in a top management consulting firm owned by her father. She's 35...she has great friends, no money problems and her life is slipping away in a career she doesn't want. Her personal life is empty and non-existent. Kate Svenson is all business and seldom lets her hair down. She never 'cut's loose". She's polished and proper....and she'd like nothing more than to be married. She's cool, confident, efficient and independent. And she's lonely.

He has no real responsibilities or worries. After years with a career as a tax attorney, Jake Templeton has dropped out of the rat race and lives his life helping his younger brother build up his golf resort. Jake manages maintenance on most days and vedges in a rowboat on a serene lake the rest of the time. Life is good - - he's a semi-vagabond, running from commitment of any kind and he loves it. And then he meets prim and proper Kate.

This is an easy paced plot of striving towards your ultimate goal in life...so focused on reaching that goal that you don't realize when you've become blindsided and your ideals have shifted and the goal no longer applies. This is a quick read...clean, without gratuitous or explicit intimate moments (I love erotica but sometimes sweet is nice..)... It's completely predictable with enough comic relief to keep it fun.
This is a terrific laugh out loud book about opposites attracting. I already owned the paperback version and was excited to see it in e-book format since that's how I prefer to read books now. It's a clean romance by Jennifer Crusie, one of the best romantic comedy authors I've found. This one is worth reading multiple times.
I love this book. Just reread for the third or fourth time. So funny, heartwarming, sassy, and sexy. It's one of my favorite Jenny Cruise books. A wonderful comfort read!
Jennifer Crusie is always a delight. It is Chick Lot at its finest. I read all genres but when I need to laugh and just thoroughly escape from stress and pressure, I can always find that escape in her books. I read everything that she had written ten years ago but recently discovered she has written more. My happy dance is still going strong.

She writes real women and flawed romantic leads than are endearing because of that. Man hunting was a fun frolic that made me giggle and laugh. True entertainment.
Truly adored this book - bought the version even though I have the print version. Laughed all the way through. This author never lets me down - well, as long as it is just her and not with someone else. Her dialogue is so much fun and her main characters are always someone you know you would enjoy being around. Not many authors that I am willing (on an limited income) to pay the price, but I know I will be pleased with the expense. I recommend her books to everyone.
